Sometimes, you might think that getting the highest Credit Score will get you the Lowest Interest Rate, but that might not be the reason why the merchant wants to know if your credit is high or low. It might want to know if your Credit is high so that you can pay the price they really want to sell you the item for. They can still present the highest interest rate, while you may be scratching your head, wondering, all the time, you were under the impression your credit score mattered, but which is true?
If you know your Credit Score is in the range of above average and such, that demonstrates your ability to receive credit, then that may be just enough for your to qualify for the purchase, however, it doesn’t guarantee any payment reduction or discount. It’s just qualifying you as worthy enough to extend credit to by the bank. Ultimately, these determinations are at the Bank’s discretion.
